On the last day of my vacation, I woke up with a very painful stiff neck. Upon returning home I tired to find relief through chiropractic, deep tissue massage, used thermal patches and heat to try to bring mobility to the neck and relief from the pain. The most relief though came at my Pilates class when I was placed on a mat on the floor with a small ball under my neck and hands and fingers worked the soft tissues where the pain was so bad. After class I left with more mobility in my neck and a whole lot less pain.

Sharla has worked with me, for 3 decades, starting with Pilates on weekly and biweekly appointments (as schedules allowed). 17 years ago I had a major stroke, and it took me a year to walk again! That being said, I am positive that the core strength I had built under Sharla’s care was a huge asset in this amazing recovery.
Sharla was not satisfied, however, with her wonderful communication skills, kind approach, and consistent Pilates instruction, she has also become proficient in Barral nerve manipulation, which has benefited the nerve and sciatic pain which are the result of the stroke paralysis on my right side. She has also become proficient in cranial sacral techniques which calms anxiety and tension. Sharla is a consummate student….I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!

I began taking pilates classes the age of 50. I found Sharla’s classes at 55, thank goodness! I've been doing group Pilates and working out with Sharla for about 8 years. I love how she has made me aware of my own body and of muscles I didn't know I could ever perceive. I had some uncomfortable clicking in the right side of my jaw and it was getting worse as the days went on. Sharla helped relieve the clicking in my jaw using neuro manipulation and cranial sacral therapy! My jaw no longer clicks! I have also seen Sharla for hip adjustments using yamana! I sit at a computer for most of the day and sometimes my pelvis gets twisted. I used to drive far to see a physical therapist but now I strictly see Sharla for all my adjustments.
